Website Design
Website Design is split into 3 stages which vary depending on the clients specifications.
Stage 1
Initial draft designs, these are normally created after a discussion with the client regarding corporate colour schemes and the current corporate identity. This helps to ensure that there is a level of consistancy between the website and any other media.
Once the design has been agreed and signed off the next stage can begin
Stage 2
Realisation of the design into a HTML template. The graphical design which was created in stage 1 is transformed into a HTML template which will where necessary meet the appropriate W3C standards
Stage 3
This stage depends on the size and structure of the site, either the website is populated with data or a content managament system is programmed alongside the template. A content Management system will allow the user to easily change the text and pictures on their website. See programming for more information.
